Automatic transmission

First, what is transmission system??

"It is system of an automobile which is used to change speed and torque of an automobile."

There are mostly three types of suspension system : 1)manual transmission
                     2) semi automatic transmission
3) automatic transmission

Here we will discuss about automatic transmission but first little introduction of above two types..

Manual transmission: it is most common nowadays in almost all cars and bikes... it has gear stick and clutch pedal .. driver changes gear as per speed requirements of automobile.

Semi-automatic transmission: it can consider same as manual transmission but more advance than manual because clutch pedal is eliminated in this type of transmission.. operation of clutch is automatic depends on gear and speed of automobile.

Now Automatic transmission is advance than both above type of transmission.

Automatic transmission: this type of transmission system requires neither gear stick nor clutch pedal... operation of gear and clutch is automatically depends on accelerate pedal..if someone one accelerate or deaccelerate   automobile then gear selection and clutch operation are done automatically by some arrangements..

Components : 1) torque converter
                         2) epicyclic gear train
                         3) transmission fluid pump
                         4) overruning clutch
                         5) clutch packs& break bands
                         6) hydraulic circuits and control valve
                         7) manual , electric or electronics controller.
